Having an issue with Backtrack?
There may be multiple reasons for this, let’s run through a few things.
If Backtrack is active, the Save Backtrack button will be highlighted in blue. When this is the case, you will be able to Save Backtracks via the button in OBS and via external means (Aitum app, hotkeys etc).
If you’re seeing your Backtrack button highlighted in blue, you are likely having a different issue, this page is intended for people who aren’t able to activate Backtrack.
If Backtrack isn’t active, it will just show in normal colours. There are a few potential reasons for this to be the case, please read below for more information.
Backtrack needs to be enabled in the plugin settings. By default, we only automatically activate Backtrack when you start an encoding session on either the main or vertical canvas (e.g. recording or streaming).
Below are the two settings most likely to prevent you from using Backtrack.
Having this option checked will ensure that Backtrack is always running. This is useful for people who want to have a way to clip replays in the Vertical Plugin whilst not recording or streaming at the same time.
<aside> ⚠️ Note: Having Backtrack always on will prevent you from changing some OBS settings (e.g. resolutions, frame rates, encoding settings).
